| Q1a: |
Wan Ahmad Faisal from UTP To Bro. Umar: We all know that extremism as taken a toll to the world? What is extremism according to Islam? Which extremism we need to follow to avoid the Western intervention in our lives |
| A1a: |
Extremism is when you do not have tolerance for the people, eg: no tolerance to other's opinions, while you have one. The Hadith - also against extremism. Do nto like the British PM's extremism of going to war in Iraq - I will debate respectfully, lobby your MPs, politicians, in order to make a change - become the best educated people in society - to make a change |

| Q1b: |
To Mukhriz: How would you mobilize the campaign of criminialising war to youths, particularly Muslim youths as most youths are ignorant about these things |
| A1b: |
I think it is about time - we have some international civic consciousness - because - tend to be comfortable - take for granted Malaysia's peace. Neighbouring countries - are facing pressure, violence - we ought to do something about it - not to be complacent, ignorant. We are used to watching violence on tv - does not need to be the movies - we do not flinch at news reports - about 100++ people dying in a car wrong - something is wrong here - the young people - have the future in their hands. Should start doing something - teach peace in school - eg: like the teaching of the dangers of passive smoking - and the children talk about it with their parents. Should teach about peace like this - without peace- alternative is death - peace should come naturally to them, and not take it for granted, like the current generation. Malaysians - most suited to talk about peace - excellent track record - when it comes to that - heterogeneous country - lived together in peace and harmony. People who do not know how we achieve peace - think that we are a flash point - an explosion waiting to happen. People in Bosnia - if knew how we achieved peace and unity - would not have the civil war. If university students and youths in general - work towards this - push message of peace - to your friends, to the world via blogging |

| Q2: |
Nasaruddin (Bukit Sentosa) -If one of the objectives of this conference was to make me walk the road of peace - failed - want to dropped a bomb on the White House - am I wrong to feel like this. A terrorist - defined by Bush - I attack you, you defend yourself - you are. |
| A2: |
Can't comment - going back to England. Many people want to do so, not only the Iraqi's but others in Pakistan, Palestine - hatred for Blair, - called him a liar - need to take all of this anger - put them together and direct it into the right direction - positive way. Was angry when discovering of Bush's ancestors undoing - but direct it in a positive way - to make a change his own way |

| Q3. |
Why do we feel uncomfortable when the West call us fundamentalists? |
| A3: |
No problem with the term. |
 |
| Q4. |
What was the reason that the 3rd panelist went to the USA especially after the invasion? |
| A4: |
No problem with the country but with the foreign policy. There is a unhealthy mix, but only in the foreign policy. He tried to split the 2 situations, by moving to the USA. As a US citizen, he tried to bring some changes. Blogging does not belong to the US. There are many cultures in the US. Blogging is done in many languages and countries, with similar beliefs i.e. peace. Try to bring awareness to stop people from treating Muslims as animals. |

Question to Datuk Mukhriz. How can we monopolise the media where we can reach out to everyone about the atrocities of the war in every part of the world? |
| A5: |
We had very high hopes of Al Jazeera English as opposed to CNN and BBC. We're still hoping that they will come up with something different. In Malaysia, we have to make our views heard in any way possible. |
 |
| Q6. |
Why does the anti war movement continue to support the puppet regime in Iraq and galvanizes support for the war? |
| A6: |
The General Peace Movement is against the current Iraq govt. The letter was sent to Mr Al Maliki - to meet with the protestors to deliver a message that would condemn the relationship with USA. He refused to meet with them. |
 |
| Q7. |
Why is the American peace government - supporting the Maliki government - in iraq in an official statement - manufactured dissent. Why - the anti-war movement - represent the resistance movement as terrorist. Refuses to analyse the nature of the operations to galvanise public support for war - like Operation Northwood again. If we are not able to do this - useless (To Mukhriz) |
| A7. |
We had very high hopes to Al Jazeera - alternative to BBC - but so far - not a good alternative - similar to BBC - still hope - they will start showing alternative views of pertinent issue. Needs to voice out in many issues that are important - need support in these kinds of protests. Fundamental stance - no way to support the current puppet government in Iraq - he sent the letter - we will camp in Washington DC, and al-Maliki can come and meet us - and to ask the Iraq president - to demand the immediate US withdrawal from the Iraq - this shows - al-Maliki - chose to meet with the US government, and did not want to meet the people who have grave concerns. We want a legitimate Iraqi government - rule the country after the occupation. |

Statement: We did not mention the situation the situation in Dafur, Sudan. Eg. Of American is doing in destroying a nation - especially the presence of depleted uranium. We all have a lot of roles (eg. As mothers, grandmothers etc) so we have a big influence in people's lives - and can make a change. Allah hears every intentions of all - good and bad and has promised - reward the good, and punish - do what we have to do and pray to God for peace.
Statement: Iman from IIU (PhD) - the Iraqi lived together in paece for so long - we do not think about differences in religion, race. Iraqis are becoming stronger and stronger and no one can make them weak - by unity, we will defeat the Americans - will kick them from Iraq.
Moderator: Summarise - all, work towards criminalize war - despite their beliefs. Education policies - incorporate peace studies in their syllabus. We must also shed light to problems outside of the Muslim world - not abandon those - N. Korea, Africa - civil wars, totalitarian governments - suffering due to our inactivity. Asked fellow young Malaysian - to come together to protect the sanctity of life - we need to value life more - there is so much more to it. |
